This year has been about finishing our projects. October’s program was about binding. There are many ways to bind a quilt and the most consistent feature is that the edge is enclosed (bound) by something.
We covered the most well-known styles and some more niche applications, while also touching on other non-bound finishing methods.
Check out the guild binding samples at the next sew day.
The Q4 challenge is for binding methods. Any piece you didn’t show before can be brought in.
Guild Business
Our bylaws had to be updated for new MQG requirements. We held an online meeting to go over the details. The vote will take place at the November Meeting.
Officer elections will take place in January. Nominations are open now. Please contact Vivian, our elections official, to nominate yourself or someone else for a position. Officer terms are for 1 year each and you can hold 2 consecutive terms of the same office. Anyone who has been a member for at least a year in good standing can run for office.

Global Quilt Connection Links were emailed out for October. The online programs will be available until November 8th for members.

The quilting is done and Cheralee is binding it for November.
