Tiny Piecing with Zsofia - November Meeting

Guild Business

We started with an opportunity for members to chat and for charity quilt groups to plan their next steps. Quilts and their donation locations are due at the December Sew Day.

For December we’ll have our regular sew day. Members are advised to check your email for the pot luck sign up. RSVPs are needed to plan. There will be additional tables. There will also be the annual opt-in gift exchange. All details can be found in email and meeting slides.

Leadership positions will be voted on for the 2026 year in January. Interested members who have been in the guild for at least 1 year can run. Email Vivian if you would like to run for a position. Prior leaders are always available to answer questions after you take on a new role. Nominations are due by December.

Many people entered quilts in the Beaver Valley Piecemakers Show. Thank you for showing your work.

Membership

We now have 68 members in our guild!

Treasurer

We are ahead with our current income and expenses. The position of Treasurer is clearly spelled out for those interested. The position comes with pre-fab spreadsheets so you don’t have to invent the wheel or have an accounting degree if you would like to run.

Programming

Sew Buddies is running the length of the school year. 14 people have been matched so far. Sign up link is in the member area.

Signups for the Hibernation Block Swap will take place at the December Sew Day. You can also sign up via email before that date.

An Ice Cream Social fundraiser has been planned with Jeni’s in Bakery Square.

Social Media

Members-only information is in the archive. The password is in the emails sent monthly. Remember it is case-sensitive. It is better to type it. If you choose to copy-paste, manually highlight the word. Double-clicking adds extra spaces to what you copy.
