December 2025 Sew Day
We wrapped up another year with a sew day, pot luck, gift exchange, charity quilt reveal, and show and tell.
If you were there it was great to see you and if you couldn’t make it we missed you dearly. We can’t wait to see everyone in January. Q4 Challenge Quilts are due and we’ll have our ticket drawing at the January Meeting. We’ll also have elections for our 2026 Officers.
Registration is open for the 2026 Retreat. See the details and register here.

This will stop working after 2026.
This was also the deadline for the block swap. There weren’t enough people signed up to run it. If you’re interested in a block swap, please sign up early for the next one. The goal was to get 10 people minimum and you will make a block for each person in the swap.
QuiltCon Announcement
Karen, our Region 3 Rep, let everyone know that QuiltCon was not canceled. That was just a rumor and the MQG would share official news once the damage of the fire at the Raleigh Convention was known.
The final outcome we learned later was that QuiltCon was able to proceed.
Community Quilts
Community Quilts were due at Sew Day. In all we had 5 groups with 7 Quilts.
Gift Exchange
We held a gift exchange again with the pass in a circle game. People brought small gifts and even some handmade.
Show and Tell
We had a brief show and tell after lunch. People shared delightful quilts and other projects.
